10 Effective Ways to Build Blog Backlinks
Today we are going to look at 10 effective ways to build blog backlinks. I know this isn’t new news, but so many people forget to build strong and relevant backlinks to their websites.
1. Use a BackLink Tool
In order to build backlinks for your blog, you’ll need a backlink tool or service that will help you find backlinks.
I use a variety of backlinking tools. Amongst the backlinking tools that I use is Bionic Backlinking™ which is surprisingly simple and straight forward to use.

Everything you need to do is broken down into easy to follow video tutorials, so you can work on your own rankings, right away – even while you’re still watching and discovering your next step forward.

2. Link only to relevant or related websites
It’s very important to only link to relevant or related websites. Visitors will be turned off because they don’t find any relationship between your blog and the website they just came from.
3. Link to Reputable Websites
Relevant, Reliable and Reputable – the 3 R’s of business. Reputable – the 3rd ‘R’ that often gets forgotten.
So how do you tell whether a website is reputable? You should ask yourself these questions:
– What’s your initial impression of the website? Is it eye catching, or ugly?
– Is the information relevant, well written?
– Would I buy from this website?
– Check the website’s Alexa rating; If the rating is under 1 million then it is alright to link to. However, this is very much a judgment call.
4. Link to Directories
Most directories have a really deep category & subcategory system – so you can get really specific about where you want to build your blog backlink.
5. Add/Submit URL Sites
Look for websites that accept url submissions. Most good backlinking tools have a tool to help you find websites that accept url submissions. Now you can submit your url to them and create a backlink for your blog.
6. Related Forums
Forums can be an amazing means for building blog backlinks. I recommend adding your blog url as a backlink in your forum signature. A good forum post can send 100s of visitors to your blog in a week, or even a day!
7. Sniff Out Your Competitors Backlinks
What if you were able to see the backlinks that your competition have for their websites?
Most good backlinking tools have a tool to help you sniff out your competitors backlinks. The Internet is one big backlink, so it’s a great way to find more backlinks for your blog.
8. Give Your Article or Lens an Added Boost
If you’ve written a article and want to get it indexed faster by Google or ranked higher backlinking to your blog to your new article will help it out! Just write a teaser article, under 300 words and add a few links to the new article in your blog post.
9. Page Rank 7 or Higher
I go by the Rule of 7 – A Google page rank of 7 or higher is a great site to backlink your blog to. However, this is very much a judgment call as the site you are backlinking from should be relevant to your site.
10. Pinging
Just do a Google search for ‘blog ping service’ there’s lots out there. Backlinks are the lifeblood of promoting your website.
Do yourself a favor and get yourself a good backinking tool such as Backlink Profit Monster V2 or Bionic Backlinking™ to get relevant backlinks.
