Time and Money Wasters to Avoid

Viral Marketing Frenzy - A force so powerful, it cannot be stopped!Hi Guys,

Today we are going to take a quick look at a few of few time and money wasters that you may do well to avoid.

As I’ve mentioned previously time is a commodity you simply cannot afford to dwindle, especially in the internet marketing business. And for most of you who may be starting money is often tight and you need to spend your money where it will benefit and improve your business, increase traffic to your site and build your list

“Latest Big Thing / Magic Bullet”: Let’s get real here, there is no “one” program that will change everything for you. There is no magic bullet that will last for the long term. If you’ve been seduced by the siren song –that’s okay – it happens to all of us. In fact, how many projects or models do you have in the works right now, but you still go out and try to find that “golden method” every day? Does that sound familiar?

“Shiny object” syndrome: The definition of the “Shiny object” syndrome is when you buy one product after another after another on the latest internet marketing fad. Even when you didn’t use the last 4 products you bought and you swear that this next one is “the one” that will make all the difference and that this time you will make use this latest buy. Unless you are actually going to make an effort to actually use the products you buy don’t bother to buy them. I know that it is easier to say than to do as many of us get caught us by the hype surrounding some of the products advertised to us.

Television: Don’t watch television. I know just how tempting it is to watch television especially when you are working from home. You place your laptop on your knees, settle into your recliner or settee, and switch the TV on. The television will distract you and make any project you’re working on take much longer than it should. While you are working, avoid the television at all costs.

Email: Don’t spend all your time checking emails. There are enough distractions without adding to them. I normally check my emails as I start work. I try to keep the time I spend going through my emails as short as possible. I may check them for a brief moment halfway through my schedule and once again just before I finish for the day.

Choose carefully from whom you will accept emails. Let’s face it, most of us do not mind some advertising but if you happen to get a constant barrage of emails from others that constantly try to sell you the latest big thing or shiny object then I would advise you Opt-out. If there is no opt-out link then simply create a rule that simply sends those unwanted emails to your spam or junk folder. Be ruthless. You only want emails that are of actual benefit to you.

I hope that the above is of benefit to you. Please feel free to leave a comment below. I would really love to hear from you.

Until the next time,

Warmest regards,

Alain
