FEAR – The Dream Killer

Taking Action in spite of Imperfection

Hi Guys,

I hope you are having a great day.

I’ve decided to share the article below, titled FEAR – The Dream Killer, because I’ve discovered that for so many people fear keeps them from actually taking action.

I am going to talk about something that most people avoid talking about. However, it is extremely important that you tackle this problem head-on. Because if you don’t it will kill your dreams and any chance of success not only with women but also with all other aspect of your life.

I can still remember the first time I approached a woman; the first time I went my own way; and the first time I got started online – Those memories are as vivid today as on the day they occurred.

Those butterflies or knots in the stomach; the second guessing and that nagging little voice inside your head. Reviewing your work for the umpteenth time not being sure whether you were up to the job or whether your work was good enough; striving for perfection; analysing everything to the point that nothing gets done; Having that feeling that something is holding you back.

That something that threatens to kill all your dreams and squash them as though they are just bugs underfoot.

That thing is described by one word – FEAR.

This is one emotion that kills more dreams that you could shake a stick too. It is the one emotion that will kill your success and stop you from achieving your goals.

What you need to understand is the reason why fear is the dream killer it is.

Fear is an emotion that nature developed to protect you from making life-threatening mistakes. And when we try to do something that we have never done before, like starting a new venture or approaching a woman you have not met before, fear is a natural part of taking that step.

However, it can also become a beast that strangles your dreams, that stops you from talking to that very beautiful woman and that stops you from moving forwards.

You fear being turned down or making a fool of yourself; you fear being embarrassed in front of your family and friends; you fear loosing money; you fear not knowing everything you need to know; and you fear failure.

And as crazy as this may sound, a lot of people unconsciously fear success.

And unfortunately your fears act as roadblocks. Without which you would be speeding down the wide-open highway of life accomplishing all you want.

Taking Action in spite of Imperfection

You should, however, realize that not all fears are unfounded. Some are very real, normal and actually responsible. And they do protect you.

The problem that most of us face is that we tend to let those fears get big and mean. We allow them to strangle the hopes and dreams we may have, and keep us from doing the things that we need to do to succeed. This is why fear is a dream killer.

You know what you want to do. And to succeed you may have to take steps that will scare you half to death.

And yes, you will make mistakes; you will fail at times and you will make losses; your friend and family may even laugh at you.

But to succeed you will have to take that first step and stick with it. It may not be fun but you will be glad that that you persevered.

Here is some practical advice that may help you overcome your fear.

Firstly – make a plan. It does not have to be detailed nor does it have to be formal. Broad strokes should do.

And then, cut yourself some slack; and I’m serious when I say that you should give yourself permission to mess up. After all there are no guarantees in life and there is no way that you can know everything that there is to know before you start.

If you try to learn everything there is to know about, say relationships, dating or whatever you want to do, you will stay stuck in what is commonly called analysis paralysis. And this could last a lifetime – and you don’t have that luxury.

It is OK to be afraid. There is no way that you or anybody else ever feels comfortable when starting something new especially if it is worth doing and is important to you.

It’s smarter to just get started and to put your fear in a box.

>Remind yourself that there is no reason why you should not succeed as many other people very much like you have succeeded. Stop thinking about what can go wrong, or what you don’t know or even how it hasn’t worked before.

Just think that it can work this time; that you can do better this time; that your are smarter than you were before, and that you will get even smarter as you go forwards.

Once you do that, you will notice that your fear will start to melt.

And after your first success your confidence will rocket.

And, before you know it, you will be looking back and wonder why on earth you were so afraid to begin with.

So plan your way forwards in those broad strokes and take that first step into your future.

And remember – there are no guarantees in life.

But if you don’t take action then nothing will happen and your life will continue to flat-line. So get out there and take ACTION.

Taking Action in spite of ImperfectionOn a side note we unconsciously form habits each and every moment of our lives. Some of these habits are of a worthy nature; others, though not so bad by themselves, are extremely bad in their cumulative effects, causing us from time to time much loss, pain and anguish, while their inverses would, on the contrary, bring as a great deal of peace and joy, as well as a continually increasing power.

I’ve got a great eBook here for the taking titled Taking Action in spite of Imperfection; How to Break Trough Analytical Constipation and Paralysis in Order To Get Things Done Even If Things Are Imperfect, that that could provide you with a solution to help you change and realize your potential.
